Located on the grounds of the Seattle Central Community College at Broadway and Pine Streets, the Broadway Farmer’s Market will run between 11am – 3pm every Sunday from today until December 18th.

True to my word, I arrived at the market this morning, and I was even there for the ringing of the opening bell which officially launched the 2011 season. As you can see, I was not alone.

I hung out for about an hour, filled my bag with loot, and hauled it back down the hill. Not a bad start to the week. Perhaps my favorite item was one that I procured without charge. These T-shirts were handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis, and I think they’re pretty cool and apropos:

I shall wear it with pride.

Anyway, if you did not get a chance to do so today, please head over soon and welcome the market to its new Pike/Pine location.

Better show up earlier rather than later too. We showed up later and Little Prague was all out of pastries! Ealier it is next week!
