According to a story on the Capitol Hill Blog, this year’s Capitol Hill Block Party will (probably) be a three day affair once again:
Final approval for the event is contingent on a safety plan, but I’m fairly certain that such a plan will be drafted. Last year, the expanded event drew more than 20,000 people. Final details for the 2011 event will be hammered out in an April 25th neighborhood meeting.
Personally, I’m pretty excited about this year’s event. The party epicenter on Pike is a short 5-10 minute walk from my home, which means that Seattle’s largest block party is more or less in my backyard. Performers have not yet been announced, but I am eagerly awaiting the lineup.
The 2011 Capitol Hill Block Party will run from Friday July 23rd through Sunday July 25th.
