Seattle Space Needle Reflection at Night

First Glimpses of the First Hill Streetcar

I’m not sure when opening day will be, but the trains themselves are rolling.

Kind of exciting if I must say so.

Good Enough For Government Work

Waiting to Board Bainbridge Island Ferry

Evening rush hour.

9 minutes before ferry departure.

Quarter-mile backup.

One booth open.

People seem surprised when I tell them that I am against collective bargaining rights for public employees.

To those people, I have only this to say:

The next ferry leaves in an hour. If you’re lucky. Enjoy the wait.

The reason the notion crossed my mind wasn’t so much my love for Bremerton, but rather, the idea of commuting by boat. I figured that if I lived in Bremerton, I would have to take the ferry almost every day, and that thought appealed to me.

Think about it … as millions of Western Washington commuters piled into automobiles to sit on Interstate 5, I would kick back, relax, and wave to the sea lions as I made my way from one

The McGraw Square Lights

Lights at Westlake Transit Plaza

Lights at Westlake Transit Plaza

I made a run over to Bartell shortly before 8pm yesterday, and since the sun is setting earlier, I got to enjoy the new eye candy of McGraw Square (a/k/a The Westlake Transit Plaza).

There are dozens of lights embedded into the concrete of the square, and they change colors once every ten seconds or so.

It’s really quite pretty. The city really went above and beyond with McGraw Square.

Well done.

Suspicious Sign at Link Station

It’s a sign asking me if I see something suspicious.

It’s the most suspicious thing I’ve ever seen.

Someone must be notified.

Where’s Phoenix Jones when you need him …
