I’ve seen New Year’s and July 4th Fireworks multiple times in cities such as New York City, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Seattle.
While they have all been fine displays, my absolute favorite display is the New Year’s fireworks at The Space Needle, and I mean that sincerely.
It may not be the biggest (that’s what she said), it may not be the longest (ditto), but something about the Seattle Center’s fireworks display does it for me on a level that the others just can’t equal. Perhaps it’s the combination of my favorite building and my favorite time of year … who knows.
In any event, tonight, I caught the fireworks from my “secret” spot on Capitol Hill, which turned out to be not so secret after all. I rang in 2012 with about 75 of my closest inebriated friends in Pike/Pine, and I recorded the outcome for your viewing pleasure.

To be honest, the video I shot last year came out better, so if you can watch only one, check that one out.
Either way, enjoy, and Happy New Year.
