If I Had a Nickel

Wrong Way Driver on Pike

Wrong Way Driver on Pike

For every time I saw a lady drive the wrong way up Pike Street, I would have about thirty cents.

I concede that it’s not much money, but this is still a problem. I once witnessed it twice in one day.

Remember, we’re supposed to spend billions of dollars to build a tunnel for these people.

Another reason I hope I get the chance to vote “no” on a referendum.

Half the drivers around here have no business leaving the Galleria parking lot.

If I had a nickel for the amount of times I was nearly run over in a cross walk in Capitol Hill in two years, I’d be rich. Although I remember when I first moved out there, if someone poked their bumper in the middle of a crosswalk, they’d to back out of the way for pedestrians.. The first time my friends from back east saw a car do that, they just about fell over. I guess those days are over? Hehe.

Btw.. First time reading the blog today. Love the blunt honesty, and the intelligent insight. Seattle is not without it’s faults (like any city), and I’m glad someone else isn’t afraid to poke some fun at it. I do miss it, though.
