In related news, Gary Ridgeway also resigned, saying “Sorry about all that serial killing stuff, can we move on now?”
If Mayor Mike McGinn does not fire the Seattle Police Chief, then in my opinion, the mayor should be recalled by whatever legal manner is available to the people. All of the faux-contrite rehearsals of pre-written speeches in the world is not enough. If the Mayor is as distraught as he says he is, he must take swift and decisive action to partially correct this wrong.
This outcome is not acceptable.
