Happy Seattle Sheraton Hotel Garden Walk Day.
Try marking that in big letters on your calendar. I kid you not, it’s now a real, official holiday.
About an hour ago, the proclamation was made at the corner of 7th & Union where the Garden Walk was officially dedicated.
On hand to celebrate the occasion were musicians, flash mob dancers, the Deputy Mayor, and about a hundred umbrella-toting spectators.
Now, you may be asking … what exactly is Seattle Sheraton Hotel Garden Walk Day?
It’s the culmination of The Sheraton’s $2 Million improvement of 7th Avenue between Pike & Union. They added a flower sculpture, as well as mirrors and a few other improvements to make the area more attractive to residents and Convention Center attendees.
It looks nice.
Now if you will excuse me, I’m off to the mall to find a gift.
If I come home empty-handed on Seattle Sheraton Hotel Garden Walk Day, I’ll never hear the end of it.
