Yes, that is the Space Shuttle.
Last night at about 7pm, a twit message popped up on my screen.
One of our local meteorologists informed us that the Space Shuttle would be passing overhead from 7:21pm – 7:24pm, and that it would be in the northern sky about 45 degrees above the horizon.
At 7:15, I went up on my roof and scanned the northern skies. After a few minutes, I finally spotted it. The shuttle appeared above the skyscrapers, slowly moved overhead, and disappeared somewhere over the East Side.
While it was still overhead, I snapped the above photo.
The way I see it, only the most skillful photographers can take a photograph of an object 200 miles away as it is moving at 10,000 miles per hour.
I am one of those photographers.
Before you all email in to ask at once, yes, you have permission to download the photo and have it made into a poster suitable for framing.
You’re welcome.

Rex, I know you are new to photography, but you need to remember 2 important things:
1. Take your lens cap off
2. Keep your lens clean – looks like some dandruff or something.
